Then the dealer puts a fifth card on the table that anyone can use, known as the river. For the final time all players have a chance to bet, check, raise or fold.

The winner of a poker hand is determined by the highest ranking combination of cards in the player’s hand and on the board. The best possible hand is a royal flush, consisting of the ace, king, queen, and jack of the same suit. Other good hands include straights, four of a kind, and three of a kind.
